4270 Fluted Pin Top Newel - 3 1/2" square. This is a 3 1/2" sq. fluted pin top newel post with a 3/4" pin. This stair post is designed for an over-the-post system which uses handrail fittings. This newel profile is similar to the LJ Smith 4270 and the Coffman Classic 4210. We have matching balusters in both 1-1/4" and 1-3/4" size with pin-tops or square-tops. This type of wood newel is also available without flutes (see plain-4270), or an octagon cut (4270-8). Available in 5 different sizes - 43", 50", 58", 65" and 73". Available in Red Oak, Soft Maple, American Cherry, Brazilian Cherry (Jatoba), White Oak, Beech, Poplar, Hickory, Mahogany and Walnut.
